IWFL Welcomes Central PA Vipers

Austin TX -The Independent Women's Football League is proud to announce that Kerry Wisher, representing the Central PA Vipers, has been awarded a full membership license and will join the league’s roster of teams for the 2008 season. The Vipers come to the IWFL after completing their first year of operation in another league. The Vipers will be placed in the IWFL Eastern Conference.

“The Vipers are a strong new team. They have tremendous enthusiasm and are dedicated to making the sport a success in Central PA. We are very pleased to welcome Kerry and Vipers to the IWFL,” stated Kezia Disney, IWFL Chief Operating Officer.

The Vipers will play an eight game regular season featuring exciting match ups against both established IWFL teams and some other new IWFL member teams. The 2008 season will be one fans in Harrisburg won’t want to miss.

“Lindsay and I are very happy to be a part of the IWFL family. With our shared beliefs of empowering women to become stronger and more confident on and off the field, we believe we can not only help make the IWFL a stronger league, but we can do the same for our local communities.  We are very excited about this opportunity to play in the IWFL,” Stated Kerry Wisher, Central PA Vipers team owner.

The Central PA Vipers women's football team was formed in 2006 by team owners Kerry Wisher and Lindsay Snowden. The Vipers play their home games at Harrisburg High School.
